Notes

Andy Fletcher said in the November 1982 issue of One Two Testing magazine:

"The live sound is a lot meaner than the studio sound... the people behind the sound desk are very mean... In Pasadena we had all the needles pinned at one gig — it was really loud, like a punk gig. We couldn't hear a thing we were doing."

Attendee Gerald Lokstadt said:

"When I got the tickets, it said in all caps that there was no standing or dancing from your seat. The evening of the concert, when the boys walked out, we all stood and started to dance with their first song. All of a sudden the music was stopped, and the house lights came on, and we were told to sit down, no dancing. Well, that didn't go over well, like a mini-riot was going to break out... DM said they refused to play if we couldn't dance to their music, and after a 20- or 30-minute delay, the management gave in and we could dance, and the concert went on without further henderance, and we danced our asses off!"

Attendee Edward Halley said:

"There is a pit in front of the stage that security kept closed. But after a few numbers they couldn't control the crowd. There was a brief pause and the group wouldn't play on unless they allowed [the crowd] in the pit. "
