Notes

Before Martin performed Home, Martin said "Hier ist Christian's Zuhause" ("Here is Christian's home").

Martin Gore said in this interview in 2003:

"On the day of the September 11th, we were playing Vienna, Austria. And after watching all the images on TV, we were trying to decide, "What do we do? Do we go on stage? Do we play tonight?" It all seemed a little bit futile to go on and sing and dance. Dave, our singer, called his wife, they live in New York, not too far from where the World Trade Center was. And she said, "Of course you should go on. Your music brings joy to the world. You should carry on." And I thought that was a great answer."

Here is the diary entry from DepecheMode.com:

Vienna went well - it was inside, so that was nice and we did not have to worry about the weather. Since Christian, our drummer is Austrian, we had a large after party with most of his friends and family. I think he enjoyed seeing all of those he had not seen in a while.

Technique and Fad Gadget were the support acts. According to now-defunct DMHotwire.de, after Fad Gadget had performed "Collapsing New People", he commented on the attack on the Twin Towers which had happened that day.
