Fletcher and Gahan remember this gig and the Leeds gig in the October 24th, 1981 issue of 'Look In': Andy: "[S]ometimes I don't enjoy gigs. Up North it's such a struggle. They're different to Southern audiences. They don't react because they don't know our stuff. They go wild at the end though."

Dave: "I think it's just the way Northern people are. They listen to it more, take it in more. But in London they just go mad from the start!"
