1984-11-30 St. Jacobs Sporthalle, Basel, Switzerland
Notes
This concert was broadcast by Swiss radio station DRS3 in its entirety. DRS3 recorded this concert and licensed the recording to Westwood One, who produced promotional CD and LP releases. The CD has fake crowd noise and poorly edited intros for some songs as a result of commercials interspersed between tracks, and is missing Ice Machine and See You; both of which are found on the promotional LP release. However, the Westwood One recordings arguably have the best overall sound out of any recording thus far, despite those mentioned flaws. No rip of the LP version has been shared, so a complete recording from Westwood One sources cannot be currently created. Some tracks also appear on official releases, and have different mixing and mastering from the Westwood One recordings and DRS3 broadcast.
There was an FM radio broadcast of part of one of the Westwood One pre-FM variants somewhere in the USA, probably on the west coast. A recording of that broadcast circulates, but it is not really noteworthy as the quality is poor. It is often mislabeled as a "1985 Hollywood" recording.
DRS3 also interviewed the band on this day, you can listen to it here.
Matt Fretton was the support act.

Sources
- Source 1 is the Westwood One recording mentioned above, sourced from the promotional CD and remastered by biashead. It is perhaps the best sounding one, but has fake crowd noise and poorly edited intros to some songs. A few tracks are also missing.
- Source 2 is a very good sounding DRS3 FM broadcast recording sourced from the 2xCD "Performance" bootleg. It sounds a little muffled, perhaps due to the noise reduction system used, but is overall the most consistent sounding version.
- Source 3 is a complete Swiss Radio DRS3 broadcast from an unknown generation cassette tape. It has occasional radio interference, wow & flutter, and minor dropouts here and there. Since it required massive speed correction, some songs still may sound slightly slow or fast.
